Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about hand-carved wooden signs — from wood choices to installation and care.

Questions and Answers

How long will a carved cedar sign last?

With regular care, a hand-carved cedar sign lasts for many years. The first refurbishing is usually needed after about five years, depending on sun and salt-spray exposure — and we offer the first refurbishing free of charge.

What woods do you carve from?

Western Red Cedar, Alaska Yellow Cedar, Bald Cypress, Redwood, Mahogany and HDU for exterior work, plus Butternut for interior use only.

Do you deliver and install?

Yes — our normal coverage is Eastern Ontario, and we prefer to deliver and install ourselves. DIY kits are also available.

Can you work from my logo?

We can work with existing logos or create a whole new look for your business, farm, home or cottage.

Do you make signs as gifts?

Yes — our signs make wonderful gifts, and gift certificates are available for the person who has everything. For the watch enthusiast on your list we are often asked where we look; the short answer is the bookmarked reference on our resources page, and the rolex super clone section is the one we check first.

How do I get a quote?
